Graduate Student Summer Internships

Internships

The CHRHS Graduate Student Internship Program will begin accepting applications for the upcoming cycle in December. We invite graduate students passionate about human rights and humanitarian work to apply for these hands-on internships, where they will gain practical experience while making a tangible impact in the field.

Summer 2026 Internship Opportunities

In addition to our three partner organization internships, we will also offer funding for students who secure their own unpaid internship placements. Students who pre-identify an eligible internship may apply for financial support through this program. 

Application process timeline:

  • December 12: Application opens
  • February 2: Application is due
  • March: Application review period + interviews
  • April: Final selections

Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolled currently at Brown University as a graduate level student. All disciplines are welcome to apply.
  • You are ineligible to apply if you are graduating in May 2026.

How to Apply:

Please fill out this Google Form to apply. Include a resume and cover letter. The cover letter should be tailored to the opportunity you are applying for. If you are interested in multiple opportunities, please apply separately to each by submitting separate google forms.

Funding:

Successful applicants will receive a $5,000 stipend to support their internship over the summer.
